The great majority of brick used is extruded brick with a red body. The face may be smooth, or textured, and the color of the face may be changed using a number of coatings or sands. Light-coated, red body brick may be a lower cost alternative to admix products. Both red body and admix brick are available in utility and other large sizes often used for commercial projects.
